Early experiences lay the foundations for future learning & we know that ensuring these experiences are positive leads to greater success in school and adult life. We strongly believe that children learn through play and hands-on experiences. At Belmont North Preschool we are guided by The Early Years Learning Framework to achieve the best possible learning and developmental outcomes for each child. We believe children are capable and resourceful learners. We carefully plan, curate and reflect on environments both indoors and out, that support and provide opportunities for children to discover, explore, investigate, express themselves, problem solve, be creative, resourceful and interact with one another.

GOALS

Provide cost effective quality care and an educational program within a warm, stimulating and secure environment.
Provide safe, happy, loving environment to create sense of belonging, connectedness and security.
Provide a service to families and the community which reflects and responds to needs - promote anti-bias within our curriculum, program and environments; respect diversity in all its forms; and support the inclusion of children with additional learning needs.
Provide a stable and consistent team of caring and professional staff
Provide a balance of individual, small and large group activities and spontaneous play and teacher guided and intentional teaching moments and activities.
Encourage children's self-expression through literature, language, arts, music, science and nature.
Develop in each child the knowledge that they are unique and individual and that their abilities, interests and backgrounds are very important contributions to the community.
